

Information and communication technology is an essential part of the modern world. The lack of familiarity with IT is a hindrance to the success of life. All the more the poor of Sri Lanka cannot afford IT education as the fees are very high. Therefore, to ensure that annually 200 poor youth get training in information and communication technology Don Bosco Development center set up three computer labs.
At Don Bosco Institute, Metiyagane with 45 computers
At Don Bosco institute, Bibile with 15 computers
At Don Bosco Institute, Pallwarayankaddu with 10 computers.
These institutions will offer NVQ (National vocational qualification) Levels 4 and 5 in Information and communication technology technician, graphic design, computer hardware technician and Auto cad, thus empowering the poor youth to be better prepared for the future.
