The 2nd Session of the Don Bosco Parliament was held on 30 September 2025 with the active participation of student leaders, educators, and government officials. During the session, each ministry presented a comprehensive review of its activities and achievements since the previous meeting, along with ten valuable suggestions to strengthen their implementation strategies in the coming months. Government invitees provided highly positive and constructive feedback, appreciating the students’ dedication and offering practical recommendations to enhance their initiatives further. The session created a vibrant platform for open discussion, collective decision-making, and strategic planning, fostering leadership, accountability, and active participation among all student members.
The event was graced by distinguished invitees, including Rev. Fr. Viraj Chamara SDB, Director of DBDC; Ms. Thushari, Divisional Education Director of Negombo; Ms. S.M.I.K. Samarakoon, OIC of Dungalpitiya; Mrs. Rathnayake, OIC – Children and Women Bureau, Negombo; Dr. Ruwan, MOH of Negombo; Ms. Adhikari, Child Rights Promotion Officer of the Divisional Secretariat; and Ms. Morin Prisca, Grama Niladhari of Dungalpitiya. Principals and teachers from several schools also participated, representing Dungalpitiya Junior School, Thalahena Maha Vidyalaya, St. Peter’s Vidyalaya – Basiyawatta, Pitipana Maha Vidyalaya, and St. Anthony’s Vidyalaya – Mankuliya.
