Uva province is the poorest province in Sri Lanka. The infrastructure and public transportation facilities are very poor in the area.
The number of schools as well is very limited and therefore, the students have to walk long miles through jungles and unsafe roads. In such a context, Don Bosco Bibile acts as a home for poor, vulnerable, marginalized, orphaned and risky children and teenagers.
The children are assisted with academic education, food, shelter, support and guidance. The Project is designed to accommodate 30 boys in the shelter and provide them with a surrounding facilitated to help them build up their personalities and identify their talents and to come up in their lives breaking the chain of poverty they were born into.
