Cyclone Ditwah caused severe damage to the paddy fields in Eluwankulama. In response, Don Bosco Development Center is launching a new project to provide organic fertilizer to affected farmers. A site visit was conducted by Fr. Viraj, Executive Director of Don Bosco Development Center, and staff, along with Project Manager Mr. Pubudu, Mr. Harischandra (Assistant Director, Fertilizer, District Agriculture Office, Puttalam District Secretariat), and Mr. Gayan (Agrarian Development Officer, Neelabamma, Karuwalagaswewa). Fertilizer will be distributed to farmers ahead of the upcoming cultivation season.
This initiative reflects the continued commitment of Don Bosco Development Center to supporting farming communities and helping them recover and rebuild their livelihoods.
