As part of its livelihood development initiative, essential gardening equipment was distributed to 19 beneficiaries of the Don Bosco Women Group on 24th November and 20th December 2025. This support was provided to help the women start small-scale businesses in air plant and ornamental plant cultivation, enabling sustainable income generation.
The equipment, was provided under a repayable business loan scheme with a minimal interest rate of 1%. This approach not only supports entrepreneurship but also promotes financial discipline and responsibility among beneficiaries.
This initiative reflects Don Bosco’s strong commitment to women’s empowerment through skill development, self-employment, and community-based entrepreneurship. The revolving loan scheme ensures long-term sustainability, allowing future women’s groups to benefit once the repayments are completed.
