Don Bosco Schools of Excellence aim at promoting English medium education to the children in need of the war affected Northern and North Central Provinces of Sri Lanka where the children do not have opportunities to be educated in English medium. The flency in English is very much important for a respectable employable opportunity. The schools aim at empowering the poor. The English medium schools in Sri Lanka were meant only for the rich as their fees are sky high. Don Bosco Sri Lanka thus have introduced a set of model schools which offers quality English medium education but for an affordable price to the poor. These schools are becoming more and more accepted in the neighborhood due to their comprehensive approach to a child’s development through quality education and extracurricular activities, which fosters the development of a multifaceted individual. The project AIM is designed to help the management of the schools to increase the quality of the teachers and of the service delivery.
